Heartiste (the PUA who refers to himself in the third person and by the initials CH), recently attempted to answer that age old question: “Why are women more liberal than men?”
How did he go about trying to answer this? He did what any thinking person would do; he asked the women he knew with liberal political leanings.
KIDDING! Why talk to women when you can talk about them?
Instead, Heartiste read and cited a bunch of articles and blog posts written by liberal women who explain why their politics are what they are.
KIDDING AGAIN! Why read what women write when you can read what men write about them?
What Heartiste actually did was turn to evolutionary psychology and human biodiversity. After all, they’ve never failed him before. Oh, wait…
Anyway, here are some of the reasons Heartiste proposes to explain why women vote more liberal than men: There’s the “sexual market,” a “female tendency to collectivism,” and an apparent evolutionary explanation for why women are “more easily disgusted than men.” Finally (of course) Heartiste mentions something about women having lower testosterone levels than men.
And what’s the one possibility Heartiste doesn’t even consider? That more women agree with liberal politics because liberal politics don’t screw over women quite as much as conservative politics do. You know, one of the actual reasons women tend to lean toward liberal politics.
Of course, to even consider that possibility, Heartiste would have to recognise that women are every bit as capable of coming to rational, logical conclusions as men.
But Heartiste is stuck discussing women’s decisions as being a result of a “disgust reflext.” To him, any time a woman does anything, it’s a natural reflex to an external stimulus; never a rational decision made after considering data.
